Kiln Time Studio Paint Your Own Pottery in Manchester
A relaxed, creative experience painting your own pottery in Greater Manchester
Kil'n Time Studio is a family-owned craft studio specializing in paint-your-own pottery experiences.
We welcome families, school groups, workplace parties, university nights, ladies' nights, and individual artists to come enjoy our relaxing studio space and let your creativity flow!
All ages and abilities welcome, and we pride ourselves on being an inclusive, tolerant, and friendly business.
We pride ourselves on a huge selection, low costs, and simplicity that help make our studio welcoming for everyone.
We have 120+ pieces to choose from, 30 top quality paints on every table, and specialty paints, stencils, and accents to help unleash your inner artist. But you'll find no talent is needed to enjoy this activity and create a lifetime keepsake in the process.
We keep our prices as low as we can so everyone can create with us. Pieces range from £5-£50. Most popular selections are in the £18-£20- range, so you can enjoy time with us for a relatively modest cost.
We don't charge a studio fee to book. However, no-shows can result in us turning others away needlessly, or having labor (which is just us!) in the studio unnecessarily. So if you book and then can't make it, please let us know so we can adjust. If you book with us and then don't show without letting us know, we'll charge you a booking fee next time.
On weekends and during school breaks, we will ask for a small studio fee for adults who are not painting, but we will take this off your bill on the day if you choose to paint.
We hope you'll make us your pub alternative or paint with us enroute to your local. Our paint & sips are great as a stand-alone night out with friends or as a pre-game for a downtown pub crawl.
We now have vouchers available to buy. Stop by and grab one to give a great experience in our studio as a gift!

Our Story
Christine grew up in Hull and moved to the US as a teenager. She joined the US Air Force and they sent her back to England, where she met Tony, who had grown up in the states and been sent to England on military assignment.
Tony's military career and commercial afterlife have since taken us on a 30-year world tour. When the time came to settle, we chose Manchester as our forever home. Along the way, raising two kids gave us the chance to discover the magic of artistic outlets in the community.
Christine's pursuit of Kiln Time was fuelled by the nostalgia of watching our kids enjoy a similar studio when they were little, seeing how the simple experience of creating something with their own hands and vision sparked so many other wonderful impulses.
We introduced our studio to fill a creative niche in the local community, and have been delighted to offer a calm, cool, fun paint-your-own-pottery experience for all ages and abilities since September 2024.

Book your visit today!
We recommend booking if you want to visit us on a weekend or during a holiday or half term, as we tend to get full and would hate to turn you away.
During normal times, walk-ins during the week are fine, though we recommend a booking if your party is greater than four.
If you're interested in a party or event, give us a call so we can discuss and get you booked in for a wonderful experience.
***Note: we sometimes close a bit early -- if you're keen to walk in or pick up close to 5 PM, give us a call before making the journey***
